Gwadar Social Support Programs Expand Aid and Inclusion
The District Administration in Gwadar hosted BISP Director General Dr. Jalal Faiz on December 18, 2025. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of ongoing social support programmes in the district. Officials discussed current achievements and future priorities.
Financial Assistance for Women
The Benazir Income Support Programme operates through five offices and several facilitation centres in Gwadar. These centres deliver financial assistance to 14,527 women across the district. The programme aims to improve household stability and economic security.
Expanding Educational Support
Educational initiatives under the programme are reaching a large number of children. Scholarships currently support 32,569 students in Gwadar. This support helps families keep children enrolled in school and promotes long-term educational access.
Nutrition and Health Services
Nutrition support is being provided to 6,559 pregnant and lactating women and young children. Officials also highlighted the establishment of a Nutrition Stabilization Center. The centre focuses on addressing malnutrition and improving child development outcomes.
Digital Inclusion and Outreach
The introduction of Digital Protection Wallets has improved financial inclusion for beneficiaries. Mobile Registration Vehicles are also being deployed to reach remote communities. These tools help ensure that services reach underserved populations.
