Calamity Angels: Special Delivery Trailer Reveals 2026 Launch

Idea Factory and Compile Heart released a new gameplay trailer for Calamity Angels: Special Delivery. The unique RPG launches on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch on February 17, 2026. A Steam version will follow later that same year for PC players. Players manage a quirky delivery crew through the treacherous Orkotris Region, protecting packages from monsters and rival teams. The trailer reveals board game mechanics, mood-based combat, and vibrant character designs by Kei Nanameda, promising a fresh and lively adventure.

A Unique Blend of RPG and Management Gameplay

Players lead a group of carriers protecting packages across dangerous terrain filled with environmental hazards. The game incorporates board game elements, determining moves with a roulette spin that adds an element of chance to each expedition. Each delivery mission requires careful preparation, strategic packing to avoid damage, and selecting the right crew with appropriate gear. Managing the crew’s mood is crucial, as unhappiness can lead to ignored commands or surprising battle advantages that turn the tide unexpectedly.
The vibrant world and characters come from renowned designer Kei Nanameda (Mary Skelter), known for distinct artistic styles. The game promises lively dialogue and intense monster battles alongside its unconventional delivery service premise. This combination creates a fresh take on the RPG genre focused on logistics, resource management, and personality dynamics rather than traditional heroic quests.

Strategic Depth Through Mood Mechanics and Exploration

The crew’s emotional state directly impacts gameplay decisions and unpredictable battle outcomes during encounters. An unhappy character might disobey orders but could also unleash unexpected power or creative solutions under pressure. This adds a strategic layer to team management beyond simple stats, requiring emotional intelligence from the player. Players must balance task efficiency with maintaining high morale during perilous journeys through rain and shine.
Exploration involves navigating a colorful, board game-style map with random events that keep each trip unique. Spaces can trigger shops for new gear, special packages with rare rewards, or sudden boss encounters that test your crew. Successfully completing deliveries unlocks rewards to upgrade the team’s abilities and expand their delivery options. This core loop elegantly blends traditional RPG progression with the logistical challenges and risks of running a successful business.
