Sargodha Education Board Briefing Highlights Governance Priorities

The Sargodha education board recently reviewed its internal operations. Commissioner Sargodha Division Shaukat Ali received a detailed briefing on Saturday. He also holds the additional charge of Chairman Education Board Sargodha. A senior delegation led the session at the board office. Secretary Abul Hassan Naqvi and Controller of Examinations Dr. Nazar Abbas presented the overview. They explained daily procedures and overall governance. Officials outlined the board’s jurisdiction and operational structure. They also discussed the legal powers of senior officers. As a result, the chairman gained clarity on responsibilities across departments.

Institutions, Services, and Development Plans

The briefing shared updated data on affiliated institutions. A total of 1,832 educational institutions operate under the board. These include both public and private schools and colleges.According to officials, 652 private schools and 958 government schools are registered. In addition, 134 private colleges and 88 government colleges remain affiliated. This wide network supports regional education needs.The team also highlighted digital services offered by the board. These include online registration, examination systems, and result-related facilities. Financial matters and the annual budget also came under review.Ongoing development projects received special attention. These include solarization of board facilities and construction of a new office block. Plans for demolishing the old building were also discussed.Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Shaukat Ali stressed fairness in all board matters. He said decisions would follow merit-based principles. Therefore, transparency will remain a top priority.He also announced a zero-tolerance stance on corruption. Any irregularities will face strict action. Ultimately, the leadership aims to strengthen trust and improve governance.
