Jazz Single Voice Core sets new telecom benchmark in Pakistan
The Jazz Single Voice Core marks a major step in network evolution. Jazz completed a Proof of Concept for this unified voice platform. As a result, it validated the plan to merge multi-generation voice services into one core. The trial took place with support from Huawei. Together, the teams tested 2G voice alongside VoLTE and VoWiFi services. Therefore, the system now supports different generations on one intelligent platform.
This upgrade simplifies network architecture. It also prepares the system for future 5G voice services. In addition, it improves interoperability between older and newer technologies.
Khalid Shehzad, CTO at Jazz, called the trial a key milestone. He said the unified core strengthens service quality today. At the same time, it builds a flexible base for future innovation.
What this means for customers
The company reports faster call setup times during the trial. Call stability and voice clarity also improved. As a result, users can expect clearer conversations and fewer dropped calls. Jazz serves over 73 million customers across Pakistan. It holds a 37 percent market share nationwide. Moreover, its network includes more than 30,500 kilometers of optical fiber and 17,800 base stations. These upgrades support large-scale VoLTE adoption. They also ensure smooth performance across 4G and future 5G networks. Therefore, customers benefit from reliable connectivity wherever they live.
By consolidating services into one core
Jazz strengthens its leadership in telecom quality. The move reflects a long-term vision for inclusive and accessible digital services. For millions of users, this means better everyday calling experiences.
