WhatsApp Meta AI Tab Arrives for Android Beta Users

WhatsApp Meta AI Tab Arrives for Android Beta Users

The WhatsApp Meta AI tab is starting to roll out to Android beta users. The new feature creates a central place for all AI-powered tools inside the app. According to reports, the update appears in WhatsApp beta version 2.26.10.5. However, only a small group of testers can access it for now. The new tab appears in the bottom navigation bar. It offers a direct entry point to Meta AI.
As a result, users can interact with the chatbot more easily. They can send prompts, ask questions, and explore AI tools from a single space.

New Hub for Chatbot, Voice, and AI Tools

The Meta AI tab organizes several features in one interface. For example, users can generate images and even animate them. In addition, the system suggests prompts to help people start conversations with the AI assistant. Users can type requests in a search bar at the bottom of the screen. The update also adds voice interaction. Users can start a voice call with the chatbot and receive responses in real time.
To make this easier, WhatsApp added two voice-call entry points. One appears inside the search bar. The other appears in the menu at the top of the screen.
The feature also keeps a history of AI conversations. Each interaction becomes a separate thread with an auto-generated title. Therefore, users can easily return to past chats. To add this tab, WhatsApp removed the Communities button from the main navigation. However, users can still manage community groups inside the Chats section.
For now, the feature remains limited to certain beta testers. Countries such as India, Indonesia, and the United States often receive early tests, although availability remains small.
