Turkish University Fair 2026 boosts Pakistan-Türkiye education ties

The Turkish University Fair 2026 took place in Islamabad on Monday. The event brought students closer to leading universities from Türkiye. As a result, many explored new academic and scholarship opportunities abroad.
Organizers included the Maarif Agency with support from the Turkish Maarif Foundation. Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade also backed the initiative. Together, they aimed to strengthen academic links between Pakistan and Türkiye.

Strong academic collaboration

Nine leading Turkish universities joined the fair and shared key details. They explained admission processes, study programs, and available scholarships. Students interacted directly with representatives, which made learning easier.
The event attracted major education leaders from both countries. Türkiye’s Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu attended the fair. Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission chairman also joined the discussions.
Several Pakistani universities actively participated in the event. These included NUST, FAST, COMSATS, and others. Therefore, the fair encouraged meaningful partnerships and future collaboration.

Opportunities for students

Students showed strong interest in studying in Türkiye. Many asked about exchange programs and research opportunities. In addition, experts shared insights on international education trends.
Speakers highlighted the value of global exposure for students. They explained how such events build cultural understanding. As a result, participants gained clarity about studying abroad.
Türkiye currently hosts more than 380,000 international students. These students come from over 180 countries worldwide. This diversity attracts learners who seek quality education
