Karachi Board Exams Begin: 380,000 Students Sit Across 520 Centres

The Karachi Board Exams for ninth and tenth grades begin across the city. More than 380,000 students will appear at 520 centres. Therefore, authorities have finalized arrangements to ensure a smooth and fair process. Officials expect large participation and have urged students to follow guidelines.

Exam Preparations and Student Concerns

On Thursday, many students visited the board office for assistance. For example, some collected admit cards while others resolved registration issues. In addition, several candidates submitted pending forms at the last moment.
However, some students faced technical challenges during the process. A few could not download admit cards from the official website. Others reported record mismatches after moving from private to public schools. As a result, staff members provided on-the-spot support to resolve issues quickly.
Chairman Ghulam Hussain Soho stated that authorities issued admit cards on time. He also confirmed that teams handled complaints efficiently. Moreover, officials accepted forms even on the final day to facilitate students. This approach helped reduce stress and ensured better preparedness.

Security Measures and Exam Arrangements

Authorities have set up 25 hubs across 18 towns to manage paper distribution. These hubs will ensure timely delivery and better coordination. In addition, officials have improved monitoring systems at examination centres.
Meanwhile, the Karachi Commissioner and law enforcement agencies have enforced Section 144. This measure will prevent unauthorized entry near centres. Furthermore, authorities have ordered the closure of nearby photocopy shops to stop cheating.
As a result, officials aim to maintain transparency and fairness throughout the exams. Students, parents, and teachers now look forward to a smooth examination period.
