Warhammer 40K Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader Add New Companions
Owlcat Games drops a pair of updates for its two Warhammer 40,000 titles, adding new companions to both Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader. Warhammer 40K Dark Heresy companion Haymar Devos joins the game’s Alpha period as a Catachan-born Astra Militarum elite turned Inquisitor. Haymar grew up on Catachan, one of the most lethal Death Worlds in the Imperium of Mankind. The flora, fauna, air, and soil all try to kill you on this planet. He further honed his skills in the elite Catachan Devils unit of the Astra Militarum. Haymar then became a member of the Inquisition in the Calixis sector. He excels in both close quarters and ranged combat throughout the game. His outstanding awareness of surroundings and knowledge of deadly things helps explore environments and analyze evidence.
Rogue Trader’s New Tech-Priest
Rogue Trader receives Eogunn Februs, a Tech-Priest Manipulus and Genetor Extremis, with DLC 3: The Infinite Museion later this year. Eogunn belongs to the secretive Xenarite sect within the Adeptus Mechanicus. He searches for forbidden knowledge alongside his esteemed servo-skull colleague Nuncius. The character always behaves rationally and with cold logic in all situations. However, he remains in denial about some events from his past.
In combat, Eogunn specializes in battlefield support using his galvanic cell. He drains Motive Force from his enemies during battle encounters. He can either redistribute this energy among his allies or use it to strengthen his own attacks. The DLC ties into the new storyline around Necron Overlord Trazyn.
What These Updates Mean
Dark Heresy players essentially get the equivalent of Rambo in the title with Haymar Devos. The Catachan native brings toughness, cunning, and survival expertise to your party. He serves as a lethal soldier with skills honed from childhood on a death world. The update adds new gameplay options for those exploring the Calixis sector.
Both updates demonstrate Owlcat Games’ continued support for their Warhammer 40K titles. The companions add fresh dynamics to party composition and combat strategies. Players can experience new storylines through these character additions. Trailers for both updates are available to watch online.
