Peshawar (April 19, 2026): In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the health department has issued a province-wide advisory and alert. This step aims to prevent a possible spread of Congo virus before Eid ul Adha. The advisory targets hospitals, medical staff, and public safety measures across the region. Therefore, authorities want all institutions to stay fully prepared and alert.
Disease Alert and Hospital Instructions
The advisory describes Congo virus as a highly dangerous and contagious disease. In addition, it directs all District Health Officers, MTIs, and district hospitals to strictly follow guidelines. For example, hospitals must apply all infection control steps without delay. As a result, healthcare systems can respond more effectively to suspected cases.
