Punjab e-Learn She Earn Program Boosts Women Empowerment

Punjab has launched the e-Learn She Earn program to promote women’s economic empowerment. The initiative aims to help women gain digital skills and earn independently. Officials want to create inclusive and dignified job opportunities across the province.

Digital Skills for a Strong Future

The government will train thousands of women under this program. It targets participants aged 15 to 35 from different backgrounds. The initiative will run for one year with a budget of Rs700 million.
Participants will receive free three-month online courses in high-demand fields. For example, training will include digital customer care and graphic design. In addition, women will learn e-commerce store management and digital marketing skills.
The program will also teach virtual assistance and freelancing basics. These skills will help women work remotely from home. As a result, participants can explore flexible income options and build careers online.
Officials have designed the courses to match market needs. Therefore, women can apply their skills quickly in real work settings. This practical approach will improve employability and boost confidence.

Support to Ensure Success

The initiative also provides strong financial and technical support. Selected participants will receive laptops and internet access for learning. Moreover, they will get a monthly stipend during the training period.
This support will remove barriers that many women face in education. It will also help them stay focused and complete the program successfully. As a result, more women can benefit from digital opportunities.
Officials believe the program will increase women’s participation in the digital economy. It will also encourage entrepreneurship and innovation. In the long run, the initiative aims to strengthen financial independence and social inclusion across Punjab.
