Murad Ali Shah Inspects Karachi Development Projects, Orders Faster Progress
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited several Karachi development projects during an on-site inspection in the city. He reviewed ongoing construction work and assessed progress across key infrastructure schemes. As a result, he directed officials to speed up work while maintaining quality standards.
BRT, Drainage, and Traffic Projects
The Chief Minister inspected the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. He instructed authorities to increase the pace of construction. However, he clearly stressed that teams must maintain high-quality work. Therefore, he asked departments to improve coordination and monitoring.
In addition, he focused on drainage problems at Nipa Chowrangi. He ordered a permanent solution for water leakage and standing water issues. This step aims to reduce traffic disruptions and improve road safety for daily commuters.
He also visited the under-construction Kamran Chowrangi underpass in Gulistan-e-Johar. During the visit, he directed Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab to accelerate the construction work. Moreover, he emphasized timely completion to ease traffic flow in the area.
Road Restoration and Project Oversight
Officials briefed the Chief Minister about the Pehlwan Goth road restoration project. They confirmed that the project will cost 1.59 billion rupees. Therefore, he instructed authorities to ensure proper spending and timely execution.
In addition, he reviewed overall progress on multiple development schemes. He urged departments to avoid unnecessary delays. As a result, he pushed for stronger coordination between civic agencies.
