No Case Should Remain Unsolved Coming to PS5 This Summer
PLAYISM and developer Somi have officially confirmed that mystery adventure game No Case Should Remain Unsolved will launch for PlayStation 5 later this summer. The detective-focused title originally debuted for PC via Steam in January 2024 before later releasing on Nintendo Switch in September the same year.
The emotional mystery game follows retired Senior Inspector Jeon Gyeong as she revisits the disappearance of a young girl named Seowon, whose case remained unsolved for more than a decade. A young police officer approaches Jeon years after her retirement, encouraging her to reopen the investigation and uncover the truth behind the long-forgotten case. As players uncover hidden memories and witness testimonies, they gradually realize that nearly everyone connected to Seowon’s disappearance had something to hide.
Memory-Based Investigation Drives Gameplay
No Case Should Remain Unsolved features a unique deduction system where players connect fragmented memories together like pieces of a puzzle. Rather than relying heavily on traditional exploration mechanics, the game focuses on piecing together conversations, clues, and emotional context.
Players will uncover passwords, hidden truths, witness statements, and over 50 conversations while slowly reconstructing the events surrounding Seowon’s disappearance. The investigation becomes increasingly emotional as contradictions emerge and characters reveal hidden motives.
The narrative-driven structure places heavy emphasis on storytelling, character psychology, and player interpretation instead of action gameplay.
Critically Praised Indie Mystery Heads to Consoles
The game earned positive attention on Steam for its emotional storytelling, atmospheric presentation, and minimalist detective mechanics. Developer Somi is also known for previous narrative-focused projects including Legal Dungeon and The Wake.
The PlayStation 5 release is expected to include the same core experience available on PC and Nintendo Switch, along with the original soundtrack composed by Seongyi Yi. The mystery adventure can typically be completed within two to three hours, making it a focused and emotionally impactful narrative experience.
No Case Should Remain Unsolved is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5 later this summer, though an exact release date has not yet been announced.
