Pakistan Army Wins International Pacesticking Competition 2026 at Sandhurst

The Pakistan Army achieved a remarkable international success after a team from the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) secured first place at the International Pacesticking Competition 2026 held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom. The victory highlighted the professionalism, discipline and training standards of Pakistan’s armed forces. As a result, the PMA contingent emerged as the top-performing team among participants from several countries.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistani team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition. In addition to winning the Overall Team Trophy, the contingent also secured the Best Pace Sticker and Best Driver awards. Therefore, Pakistan completed a clean sweep of the event’s major honours.

PMA Team Outshines International Rivals

The nine-member team represented the Pakistan Army at the prestigious annual military competition. Major Haider Gulzar, Adjutant of the Pakistan Military Academy, led the contingent during the event.
The team arrived in the United Kingdom on June 5 and began preparations for the competition. Moreover, the participants demonstrated exceptional coordination, precision and confidence during every stage of the contest.
A total of 16 teams from different countries competed in this year’s event. However, the Pakistani contingent maintained a consistently high standard and impressed judges with its disciplined performance. Consequently, the team secured first position and brought international recognition to Pakistan.

Achievement Reflects High Training Standards

ISPR said the victory reflects the professional excellence of Pakistan’s armed forces. The military’s media wing noted that rigorous training, strong discipline and unwavering commitment played a key role in the achievement.
Furthermore, the success showcased the quality of instruction provided at the Pakistan Military Academy. Military experts believe such achievements strengthen Pakistan’s reputation in international military competitions.
The win has received praise from across the country. In addition, many observers view it as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the officers and cadets who represent Pakistan abroad. The achievement further reinforces the Pakistan Army’s standing among leading military institutions worldwide.
