School Leadership Recruitment Opens for Headmasters and Principals

School Leadership Recruitment has opened for administrative positions in government high and higher secondary schools. The School Education Department has invited eligible teachers to apply online through the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) portal. Officials said the process will promote transparency, merit, and professionalism in school administration. Therefore, only qualified candidates will move forward in the selection process.
The department plans to fill positions for Headmaster, Senior Headmaster, and Principal. These appointments aim to strengthen leadership in public sector schools. As a result, students may benefit from improved academic management and better educational outcomes.

Merit-Based Selection Process

The recruitment drive covers Headmaster (Grade 17), Senior Headmaster (Grade 18), and Principal (Grades 19 and 20) positions. Applicants must meet the required eligibility criteria before applying. In addition, candidates must have at least five years of teaching or administrative experience.
The department will conduct a written test to assess applicants. The test will evaluate basic IT skills, teaching competencies, and knowledge of government rules and regulations. Candidates who perform well will advance to the interview stage. Moreover, officials will use both assessments to identify the most suitable candidates. Authorities believe this process will ensure fair competition. It will also encourage capable educators to pursue leadership roles in schools across the province.

Online Applications Only

The department has made online applications mandatory. Candidates must submit their applications through the HRMS portal before the deadline. However, officials will reject applications sent by post or through manual submission.
The last date to apply is June 17. Therefore, interested teachers should complete the process as soon as possible. Officials have also clarified that candidates will not receive TA or DA for attending the written test or interview.
School Leadership Recruitment reflects the department’s commitment to quality education. By appointing experienced and skilled educators to leadership positions, authorities hope to improve school governance and academic performance. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to create a stronger learning environment for students and a more effective education system.
