Sindh Schools Facial Attendance Made Mandatory for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff
The Sindh Education Department has made the Sindh schools facial attendance system mandatory for all teaching and non-teaching staff across the province. The department will conduct facial recognition registration during June and July. From August onwards, employees must record their daily attendance through the new digital system.
Officials say the initiative aims to improve transparency, accountability and attendance monitoring in educational institutions. In addition, the department expects the system to reduce absenteeism and strengthen administrative oversight. Employees must complete their registration within the announced timeframe to remain eligible for salary payments.
Registration Process Begins Across Sindh
According to the Education Department, all teaching and non-teaching staff must register through the facial recognition system before the deadline. The registration process will continue throughout June and July. However, authorities have warned that employees who fail to register on time may face suspension of their salaries.
The department has instructed school administrations to facilitate staff during the registration process. Furthermore, officials have urged employees to complete the formalities as early as possible to avoid complications later.
The new attendance mechanism will require staff members to mark their daily check-in and check-out through facial recognition technology. As a result, the department will receive real-time attendance data from schools across Sindh.
Salary Deductions Linked to Attendance
Officials confirmed that the attendance system will connect directly with the AG Sindh Treasury. This integration will allow authorities to monitor attendance records and process salary-related matters automatically.
Under the new policy, employees who take more than two leaves in a month may have additional leave days recorded separately. Moreover, the department will apply automatic salary deductions for late arrivals and unauthorized absences.
Education officials believe the system will promote punctuality and improve overall discipline in schools. They also expect it to enhance efficiency in attendance management while ensuring fair implementation of service rules.
The Sindh Education Department has advised all employees to complete their facial recognition registration before the deadline. Authorities have also encouraged staff members to maintain regular attendance and follow the new procedures to avoid salary deductions and administrative issues in the future.
