League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 7.2 Adds New Champions And Summer Rift Update
Riot Games has officially revealed Wild Rift Patch 7.2: Feast On, bringing new champions, major gameplay changes, a fresh AAA ARAM season, visual upgrades, and summer-themed content to the popular mobile MOBA. Scheduled to launch on July 9 (UTC), the update introduces several highly anticipated additions that will reshape the Wild Rift experience.
New Champions Join Wild Rift In Patch 7.2
Wild Rift Patch 7.2 introduces two new champions to the roster. Yunara, known as the Unbroken Faith, arrives as a marksman capable of dealing both physical and magic damage. Her kit focuses on strong positioning, careful spacing, and effectiveness against tank-heavy team compositions.
Joining her is Cho’Gath, the Terror of the Void. The iconic Void monster thrives as a crowd-control powerhouse who grows stronger throughout a match. By siphoning life from enemies and increasing in size, Cho’Gath becomes a massive frontline threat capable of dominating teamfights.
Ahri Receives Major Visual Update And Gameplay Changes
One of the biggest highlights of Wild Rift Patch 7.2 is Ahri’s full Art & Sustainability Update (ASU). Riot Games has refreshed Ahri’s base model, abilities, animations, and skins, giving the beloved champion a more modern appearance while maintaining her iconic identity.
Patch 7.2 also introduces major gameplay adjustments. Boot enchantments are being removed and replaced with standalone active items, offering players more flexibility when building their champions. While players can still equip only one active item at a time, the new system creates additional strategic choices throughout a match.
The bounty system is also receiving significant changes. Instead of focusing primarily on kill streaks, bounties will now scale according to total gold earned. Riot hopes this adjustment will better identify players who are ahead while also reducing extreme snowball effects through new comeback mechanics.
AAA ARAM Season, Summer Rift, And New Skins
AAA ARAM returns with a brand-new season featuring fresh Augments, elemental rune cards, and additional surprises planned throughout the patch cycle. Players will have access to dozens of new customization options that can dramatically alter gameplay. Summoner’s Rift is also getting a seasonal makeover with a bright summer atmosphere. The visual refresh aims to bring a more vibrant and festive feel to matches during the summer event period.
Season 22 ranked rewards include Glorious Eminence Renekton, while the latest Wild Pass introduces Photographer Ryze and Cosmic Sting Skarner. Additional skins arriving in Patch 7.2 include Prestige Weather Entity Vladimir, Weather Entity Ashe, Weather Entity Nocturne, Weather Entity Poppy, Weather Entity Yunara, Summer Party Katarina Exquisite Edition, Island Vacation Gwen, Island Vacation Karma, Island Vacation Morgana, and Island Vacation Syndra.
With new champions, system-wide gameplay improvements, visual upgrades, seasonal content, and a large collection of skins, Wild Rift Patch 7.2 is shaping up to be one of the game’s biggest updates of 2026.
