After launching on June 9, 2026, the campaign quickly surpassed its funding goal of around $60,000 and raised more than $500,000 from fans eager to experience a new adventure inside Hogwarts. Meanwhile, excitement continues to grow around HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series and the reported Hogwarts Legacy sequel. Harry Potter Defenders of Hogwarts Lets Players Choose Their Side
Harry Potter Defenders of Hogwarts supports two to five players and takes place during the Battle of Hogwarts. Players can defend the famous school as members of one of the four Hogwarts houses or join the Dark Forces to help the Death Eaters prepare the castle for Lord Voldemort’s arrival. Throughout the adventure, players explore Hogwarts, master powerful spells, brew potions, collect magical artefacts, and complete missions before facing an epic final battle.
In addition, the game’s semi-cooperative mechanics encourage teamwork while allowing different strategies depending on the side each player chooses. According to the developers, the team has worked on the project for more than five years and has refined its gameplay and balance through extensive playtesting since 2022.
