Google Gemini Models Expand With Lower Costs and Better Performance

Google Gemini Models have expanded with three new AI releases. Google introduced cheaper, faster, and more efficient options before Alphabet’s latest earnings report. The company also unveiled a cybersecurity-focused model. As a result, Google aims to strengthen its position in the growing AI market.

New Models Focus on Speed and Security

Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber helps detect and fix software vulnerabilities. Initially, Google will offer it only to governments and trusted partners through a limited pilot. Meanwhile, Gemini 3.6 Flash improves coding, multimodal tasks, and knowledge work. It uses up to 17% fewer tokens than its predecessor. Therefore, businesses can reduce AI operating costs while maintaining strong performance.
Google also launched Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite. This version delivers faster responses for high-volume workloads at the lowest cost in the Gemini 3.5 family. It suits AI agents and lightweight applications that require quick processing.

Google Strengthens Its AI Strategy

The latest releases highlight Google’s focus on affordability and efficiency. Competitive pricing could help the company challenge rivals including Anthropic, OpenAI, Alibaba, and Moonshot AI.
Industry demand for advanced AI continues to grow rapidly. However, serving millions of users requires massive computing resources. Google believes its custom chips and cloud infrastructure provide an important advantage. Reports also suggest Google is developing a specialized AI chip. The new hardware could run Gemini models up to ten times more efficiently. If successful, it may significantly lower infrastructure costs. Google also confirmed that Gemini 3.5 Pro is undergoing partner testing. At the same time, the company has started pre-training its next-generation Gemini 4 model.
These announcements show Google remains committed to expanding its AI ecosystem. By improving speed, reducing costs, and strengthening cybersecurity, the company hopes to remain competitive as global AI innovation accelerates.
