Sindh School Timings: Private Schools Seek Review

The Sindh school timings have drawn concern from private schools across the province. The All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association has asked the government to review the new schedule. The group says schools face practical problems under the extended hours.

Private Schools Highlight Problems With New Schedule

Association Chairman Haider Ali urged Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah to reconsider the revised timings. He called for a schedule that reflects local conditions and daily challenges.

According to Haider Ali, several factors make longer school hours difficult. High temperatures can affect students and teachers during extended hours. Lunch and prayer breaks can also add to scheduling challenges.

Madrassa timings create another concern for many families. Older students may also have household responsibilities after school. In addition, students and teachers often need significant travel time.

Second-shift arrangements could create further difficulties. Therefore, schools may struggle to manage the new timetable without disrupting other activities.

Haider Ali said some developed countries operate schools for longer hours. However, he noted that those schools often have better facilities and support systems. Many local institutions do not have similar arrangements.

Association Calls for Equal Timings

The association said the new schedule has created difficulties for parents, teachers and school administrators. It also stressed the need for equal timings across government and private schools.

Haider Ali and other senior officials described the new timetable as difficult to implement. They also questioned whether longer hours would achieve the government’s desired educational results.

The association has urged the Sindh government to review all relevant factors. It wants the Education Department to issue a timetable suited to local conditions.

At the same time, the association welcomed recent government measures. It also praised the education minister’s focus on improving schools across Sindh.

Haider Ali said Sardar Ali Shah understands the province’s social and practical challenges. Therefore, he expressed hope that the government would reconsider the schedule.

The association believes a balanced timetable could benefit students, teachers and parents. It also said practical planning can support better educational outcomes across Sindh.
