Sindh Health Minister Announces Strict Smoking Ban in Hospitals to Prevent Fires

The Sindh health minister, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, has introduced a strict smoking ban across all regional hospitals to prevent dangerous fire incidents. Officials announced these safety measures during a recent press briefing in Karachi. Therefore, healthcare facilities will soon enforce total bans on cigarette use to protect patients and staff members.

Upgrading Hospital Safety Infrastructure

Authorities are currently outsourcing radiology services to improve medical care quality. In addition, teams will activate the new pediatric intensive care unit very soon. However, recent child mortality rates in specific hospitals remain a serious concern for administrators. Workers are actively upgrading electrical wiring systems and replacing old circuit breakers in older buildings. Furthermore, teams are installing modern fire drills and safety equipment across all public health centers.

Protecting Patients From Fire Hazards

Medical institutions must prioritize community safety above everything else. As a result, strict rules will eliminate preventable fire risks completely. Citizens can expect better protection during their hospital visits moving forward.
