Google Health 5.07 Improves Workout Tracking
Google Health 5.07 brings several useful improvements to the health tracking experience. The update focuses on workout logging, maps, weight tracking, and Health Connect. Google began rolling out the update on August 28. The company expects the latest version to reach most users within a week.
Better Workout Tracking
The update gives users more control when they manually record workouts. They can now add and adjust more fitness metrics during data entry.
Edits should also appear faster within workout summaries. Swimmers can record additional information when switching between pools and open-water sessions. Google has also improved the app’s built-in maps. Maps should load faster and provide smoother rendering during fitness activities. Users who experienced missing maps during walks, runs, or bike rides should also see improvements. Furthermore, trail and incline runs now count toward Running Distance totals. These changes make activity tracking more flexible. They could also provide users with clearer records across different workout types.
Weight and Health Connect Improvements
Google has expanded the minimum and maximum values shown on the weight graph. As a result, users can spot major weight changes more easily.
The wider graph range also helps users understand long-term changes. This small adjustment can make progress easier to review over time.
Google has also fixed a Health Connect issue affecting some Android users. Previously, Health Connect could unexpectedly disconnect from Google Health. Health Connect lets compatible apps share health and fitness information securely. The latest update should make that connection more reliable. Google Health 5.07 does not introduce one major headline feature. Instead, several smaller improvements make the overall experience smoother and easier to use.
The update should reach Android and iOS users gradually over the coming week.
