Pakistan Railways Police Orders Action Against Smuggling Networks

Inspector General of Pakistan Railways Police Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan has ordered strict action against railway land occupiers. He also directed officers to act against cargo companies linked to train smuggling.Sultan issued the directives during a meeting in Lahore. The meeting brought together all Superintendents of Police (SPs) at the Central Police Office.

Officers reviewed the force’s performance during the past six months. They also discussed crime trends and other professional matters.The meeting examined the latest crime figures from the railway police. Officials said the force registered 2,241 criminal cases during the period.Police also arrested 2,581 suspects in six months.
