Final Sentence Playtest Now Live on Steam with Battle Royale Typing Challenge

Final Sentence Playtest Now Live on Steam with Battle Royale Typing Challenge

The Final Sentence playtest has officially launched on Steam, introducing a fresh twist to the battle royale genre. Developed by Button Mash and published by Polden Publishing, this upcoming indie game challenges players to survive not through weapons, but through words. Each round places competitors in a massive hangar, seated before a typewriter, with a revolver pointed at their heads. Accuracy and speed are the only defenses. One mistake can end everything. The Final Sentence playtest is quickly gaining attention for its originality and nerve-racking gameplay that tests both reflexes and composure.

A New Kind of Survival Experience

Unlike traditional shooters, Final Sentence replaces gunfire with typing precision. Between 40 and 100 players join each session, all racing to complete the same set of words as fast as possible. Every error reduces a player’s chance of survival, creating a tense and thrilling atmosphere. Those looking for smaller matches can choose private games for four or eight participants. The game also offers ranked modes, performance stats, and leaderboards that compare your typing skills globally.

Accessible Yet Competitive

Final Sentence is easy to run on most PCs, requiring only Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, and a modest graphics card like the GTX 460. The playtest supports multiple languages, including English, French, German, and Portuguese, ensuring worldwide participation. Its clean design and simple mechanics make it approachable for newcomers while offering serious challenge for veterans. A full release is planned for late 2025, alongside a public demo for those who miss the current test. For now, players can request access through Steam to join the Final Sentence playtest and prove they can type faster than fear itself.
