Intentional Explosion Reported at Harvard Medical School; No Injuries Confirmed

Authorities are investigating an intentional explosion that occurred early Saturday at Harvard Medical School. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, though it caused alarm across the Boston campus.
Police said an officer responded to a fire alarm at the university’s Goldenson Building. When the officer arrived, two unidentified people were seen running from the scene. The officer tried to stop them, but they escaped before reaching the area where the explosion occurred.

Investigation Underway

The Boston Fire Department later confirmed that the blast was deliberate. Officials immediately conducted a thorough sweep of the building. Fortunately, they did not find any additional explosive devices.
In a public statement, Harvard University Police shared grainy surveillance images showing two people of interest. Both appeared to be wearing masks and dark sweatshirts. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Community on Alert

The explosion has raised safety concerns within the university community. However, officials assured students and staff that the area is now secure. Increased security measures and patrols have been put in place as the investigation continues.
Police have not yet identified the suspects or revealed a motive. Updates will follow as new information becomes available.
For now, Harvard officials urge calm and cooperation, emphasizing that safety remains the university’s top priority.
