TikTok Tests New Generative AI Tools for Video Creation

TikTok is expanding its creative toolkit once again. The platform is currently testing three new generative AI tools, according to app researcher Jonah Manzano. These new TikTok generative AI tools will let users animate still images, generate full videos from text prompts, and use AI to create seamless video transitions.

Expanding Creativity and Access

Among the three features, the AI-powered video transitions seem the most useful. They add real value beyond entertainment, helping creators save time and improve video flow. However, the other tools also have appeal. For example, AI-generated clips and animations help users join viral trends faster and experiment with creative ideas.
TikTok has already become a major hub for AI-driven content. As a result, giving users access to the same creative power they see on their feeds will likely boost engagement and experimentation across the platform.

TikTok’s Growing AI Lineup

These updates add to TikTok’s expanding suite of AI features. The app already includes AI translations, captions, selfies, and custom avatar stickers. Last week, TikTok also introduced Smart Split, a feature that uses AI to divide long videos into short, shareable clips.
In addition, TikTok now offers AI avatars for live shopping streams. These avatars can present products 24/7 without human hosts, creating new ways for businesses to promote and sell online.
With each update, TikTok continues to merge creativity and technology, making it easier for users to produce professional, trend-worthy content in seconds.
