Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Officially Announced for Summer 2026

Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have officially announced Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, the next cooperative shooter set within the iconic Aliens universe. The sequel launches this summer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Building upon the foundation of the original game, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 expands the action by supporting four-player cooperative gameplay instead of three-player squads. Players once again step into the role of Colonial Marines fighting against deadly Xenomorph threats across hostile environments filled with constant danger.

Expanded Squad Combat and New Features

One of the biggest additions in the sequel is the new Specialist class system. This fully customizable class allows players to mix and match abilities from multiple classes, creating flexible loadouts tailored to individual playstyles and team needs.
The sequel also introduces smarter and more aggressive Xenomorph enemies. Players must stay mobile, coordinate with teammates, and adapt quickly as encounters escalate from tense firefights into overwhelming survival scenarios. Weapons, gadgets, and specialized ammo types all play a crucial role in surviving the chaos.

Horde Mode and Survival Challenges

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches with dedicated Horde Mode maps where squads battle endless waves of enemies for increasingly valuable rewards. These survival-focused missions place a strong emphasis on teamwork, positioning, and long-term endurance.
Cold Iron Studios also promises deeper customization systems, improved squad mechanics, and more varied enemy encounters compared to the original game. With larger teams and expanded gameplay systems, the sequel aims to deliver the most ambitious cooperative Aliens experience yet.
