Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA), a new full-service carrier under Vietnam’s Sun Group, is preparing to revolutionize travel with the launch of its unique “resort in the sky” concept. To power its operations, the airline has entered into a strategic partnership with Amadeus, adopting a suite of advanced digital solutions to deliver seamless journeys for passengers. At the core of this collaboration is the Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS), which will manage critical services such as reservations, ticketing, check-in, and flight departures. This ensures a smooth end-to-end experience for travelers from booking to boarding. Additionally, SPA will implement Amadeus SkyWORKS, a sophisticated scheduling tool that allows the airline to optimize flight operations by analyzing multiple scenarios in real time. Revenue Accounting from Amadeus will further strengthen financial efficiency by enabling accurate revenue tracking and reconciliation. Nguyen Manh Quan, CEO of Sun PhuQuoc Airways, described the alliance as “a vital step in shaping a world-class airline that combines premium service with cutting-edge technology.” He emphasized that Amadeus’s global distribution network will unlock new markets and enhance customer experiences. According to Javier Laforgue, Amadeus’s Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific, the scalable, modular platform will support SPA’s ambitious growth strategy and help elevate Phu Quoc Island as a major travel hub. The airline’s launch comes as Vietnam experiences record growth in tourism. With international arrivals climbing sharply and forecasts predicting a 50% surge in air travel demand over the next 15 years, SPA aims to position Phu Quoc as both a leisure destination and a pivotal aviation gateway.
