American Heart Association Donates CPR Training Kit to Pomerene Hospital

A Heartfelt Donation That Saves Lives

Pomerene Hospital has received a vital donation from the American Heart Association (AHA) to boost community CPR training.
This generous gift was made possible by Gabbi Roszman, community impact director for AHA Northeast Ohio. She allocated funds from her community impact budget to support Pomerene’s outreach and education programs.

Bringing Lifesaving Skills to the Community

The portable training kit includes 10 mannequins, 10 kneeling pads, and 10 AED training simulators. It also provides educational materials on both flash drive and DVD.
Pomerene’s AHA-certified instructors and mobile health team will use the kit to deliver practical, hands-on CPR lessons across the region.
“Having this kit allows us to bring practical, hands-on CPR training directly into the community,” said Anne Gunther, CEO of Pomerene Hospital. “We’re grateful for this support from the American Heart Association. It’s a meaningful step in helping people feel prepared to respond in an emergency.”

Empowering Everyday Heroes

According to health experts, immediate CPR can double the chances of survival after cardiac arrest. Therefore, expanding CPR knowledge in Holmes County and nearby rural areas will empower more people to act confidently when every second counts.
This partnership marks an important milestone in community health outreach. It reflects a shared goal: ensuring that everyone, regardless of location, has access to lifesaving education and tools.
