Astro Bot Makes Official Surprise Return in September 2026
Astro Bot fans finally have a new release to look forward to in 2026, even if it is not the sequel many players continue waiting for. Sony and Team Asobi’s beloved platforming mascot will officially return this September through a brand-new line of collectible figures inspired by the hit PlayStation 5 game.
The newly revealed “Nendoroid Surprise” Astro Bot figure collection includes six different Astro Bot poses, featuring iconic animations such as running, jumping, and the character’s signature stance. Each package also includes random attachable accessories selected from a pool of 15 surprise parts, giving collectors additional customization options.
New Astro Bot Collectibles Arrive This September
The figure collection is currently available for pre-order through retailers including Big Bad Toy Store and Mamegyorai. Pricing currently sits around $70 USD depending on the region and retailer. The collectibles are expected to ship in select markets during September 2026.
Although these new figures are not the major game announcement many fans hoped for, they continue expanding Astro Bot’s growing merchandise lineup. Since the release of the original game and its additional DLC content, the franchise has developed a dedicated fanbase across the PlayStation community.
Fans Continue Waiting for Astro Bot’s Future
Speculation surrounding a full Astro Bot sequel continues to grow following hints included in the original game. Many fans believe Team Asobi is already developing a follow-up project after the first title became one of PlayStation 5’s standout platformers.
Astro Bot also remains widely praised for its innovative use of the DualSense controller, with many players still considering it one of the best demonstrations of PlayStation 5 hardware capabilities. Until Sony officially announces the next major game, collectible releases like these Nendoroids help keep excitement surrounding the franchise alive.
