Ayesha Zafar Century Leads Pakistan Women to Huge Win Over Zimbabwe

Pakistan Women started their T20I series with a massive win against Zimbabwe in Karachi. The match ended with a dominant 153-run victory on Tuesday night. The star of the game was the Ayesha Zafar century, which guided Pakistan to a record total. After Zimbabwe chose to bowl first, Pakistan posted 237-5 in 20 overs. It became the team’s highest score in women’s T20 internationals. Ayesha Zafar played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 102 from just 47 balls. She smashed 15 fours and two sixes during her explosive innings. In addition, this was her first T20I century for Pakistan. Gull Feroza gave Pakistan a quick start with 37 off 19 balls. Meanwhile, Aliya Riaz attacked the bowlers with 48 runs from only 23 deliveries. She hit four fours and four sixes. Pakistan lost early wickets in the powerplay. However, Ayesha stayed calm and rebuilt the innings. Later, she and Aliya added 67 runs together in a game-changing partnership. Captain Fatima Sana also finished strongly with an unbeaten 21 off 13 balls. As a result, Pakistan scored 70 runs in the final five overs.

Pakistan Bowlers Seal Easy Victory

Zimbabwe struggled from the beginning of the chase. Fatima Sana led the bowling attack with figures of 3-7 in three overs. Therefore, Zimbabwe collapsed to 16-5 inside the first five overs. Sadia Iqbal and Natalia Pervaiz took two wickets each. Rameen Shamim also added one wicket to the tally. Natasha Mtomba scored 24 runs, while Adel Zimunu made 18. However, Zimbabwe never looked close to chasing the huge target. Pakistan now lead the three-match T20I series 1-0 with strong momentum.
