Balochistan’s Grand Tourism Festival to Illuminate Islamabad with Culture, Cuisine, and Creativity

For the first time, Islamabad will host the Balochistan Grand Tourism Festival 2025, a vibrant celebration of culture and creativity. Organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Balochistan, the event runs from October 10 to 12 at Lok Virsa.
According to Director Dawood Tareen, the festival aims to reveal the true face of Balochistan—peaceful, diverse, and full of opportunity. “We want people to see our real identity—rich in culture and unity,” he said.

A Celebration of Art, Nature, and Adventure

Lok Virsa will transform into a lively cultural arena filled with folk music, craft stalls, and tourism showcases. Visitors will experience storytelling inspired by legends like Hani and Sheh Mureed and poetry by Mast Tawakali.
The festival will spotlight Balochistan’s eco-tourism, adventure trails, and coastal beauty. Exhibits will feature archaeological wonders, handicrafts, and captivating landscape photography from across the province.

Exploring New Opportunities for Growth

Beyond performances, the festival hosts thought-provoking discussions. Panels such as “Tapping the Tourism Potential of Balochistan” and “The Blue Economy of Balochistan” will bring experts together.
The final session, “Investment Opportunities in Balochistan”, will focus on sustainable tourism, job creation, and inclusive growth. These dialogues aim to turn cultural energy into practical development.

A Feast of Flavors and Sounds

Visitors can savor Balochistan’s traditional dishes, including Sajji, Kaak, and sweet Turbat dates. Folk musicians will perform with instruments like the dambura and suroz, adding rhythm to the festivities.
Colorful attire, embroidered crafts, and handmade art will fill the festival grounds. For many, it will be a sensory journey into the heart of Baloch identity.

Culture as a Bridge for Unity and Investment

The festival celebrates more than art—it celebrates connection. It strengthens Pakistan’s cultural harmony and showcases Balochistan’s role in national progress.
By promoting regional tourism, Balochistan invites investors, entrepreneurs, and travelers to explore new horizons. The event symbolizes unity through diversity and builds optimism for a thriving cultural economy.
