Deep Robotics Unveils the World’s First All-Weather Humanoid Robot

Chinese tech company Deep Robotics has made headlines again. The firm introduced DR02, an advanced humanoid robot built to handle tough environments.
Unlike most robots, the DR02 doesn’t stop for bad weather. It’s the first humanoid robot in the world with an IP66 rating, which means it can resist both dust and heavy rain.

Built for Harsh Conditions

The DR02 performs flawlessly in extreme weather. It works in temperatures from -20°C to 55°C, handling rain, humidity, and dust with ease. As a result, it’s ideal for outdoor jobs where most robots struggle.
Standing 175 cm (5 ft 9 in) tall and weighing 65 kg (143 lbs), it walks at 1.5 meters per second and can sprint up to 4 m/s. In addition, the robot can climb 20° slopes and lift objects weighing up to 10 kg (22 lbs).

Smart, Strong, and Easy to Maintain

Engineers designed the DR02 with a modular build, allowing quick part replacements. Arms, legs, and other components can be swapped in minutes, reducing downtime.
The robot also uses LiDAR, depth sensors, and wide-angle cameras. These tools help it detect obstacles, map surroundings, and move intelligently in real time.
With its blend of strength, agility, and weather resistance, the DR02 is perfect for security, inspection, and logistics in harsh outdoor conditions.
This launch marks another big step in the future of industrial robotics — smarter, stronger, and ready for any weather.
