Extraction Shooter PUBG: Black Budget Announced for PC with Closed Alpha

Publisher KRAFTON and developer PUBG Studios announced a new game recently. The title is the first-person extraction shooter PUBG: Black Budget. The game launches for PUBG: Black Budget Announced for PC via Steam. Closed alpha tests will run soon. Tests are scheduled from December 12 to 14. They run again from December 19 to 21. Tests cover North America, Europe, and Asia actively.

Gameplay Mechanics and Persistent Threats

PUBG: Black Budget is designed primarily as a first-person perspective experience. It functions as a tactical extraction shooter immediately. The core gameplay revolves around tension, survival, and the unknown. Players act as Contractors hired for a classified operation. The mission involves recovering top-secret technology from a research facility. The island is trapped in a time loop. The Anomaly, a supernatural phenomenon, consumes the island continually.
The game features a large $2.5 \times 2.5 \text{ km}$ open-world island readily. Sessions last up to 30 minutes effectively. Gameplay combines exploration, combat, and extraction seamlessly. Inventory is persistent: you keep what you extract successfully. You lose what you bring if you die instead. The Anomaly gradually shrinks the playable area. This creates tense and unpredictable scenarios every loop effectively.

Progression and Customization

Players expand their personal Base between missions immediately. They craft new equipment and improve character skills quickly. The customizable Base includes crafting stations and stash upgrades. Facilities provide passive income actively. A research station serves as the narrative and progression hub. This system helps players uncover the truth behind SAPIENS.
The game supports squad-based matchmaking for up to 3-player squads. Sessions can include up to 45 players total. Difficulty scales automatically with player level and time spent. Three rival factions offer contracts and rewards. Loyalty and reputation tie into rewards systems strongly. Weapon and gear customization is extensive.
