FrostBound Launches Now on Steam
The roguelike deckbuilder FrostBound launches now on Steam. Lyra Studio released the full version after months of testing successfully. Players can finally experience the complete survival challenge today. The journey included a Playtest, a public Demo, and a closed beta previously. FrostBound challenges players to build a fortress and withstand endless waves of enemies.
Survival and Strategic Deckbuilding
FrostBound immediately tests players with nine difficulty levels. Each level increases enemy strength and tightens resources significantly. However, skilled players earn unique buffs and greater loot consistently. High-tier runs feature dynamic “Fortification Events” and “Beacon” recruitment.
Deck management remains the core strategic element actively. Players unlock new card packs and select their loadout for every run. The “Lock Points” system secures rare cards effectively. A one-click reset function makes strategy adjustments simple between runs.
Deep Systems and Lasting Replayability
The game features a deep five-card system across four factions. This system includes Attack, Defence, Skill, Structure, and Elite cards. Each card type serves a distinct strategic purpose immediately. Elite Cards let players nurture leaders into battlefield dominators.
The game boasts over 500 cards and countless synergies for experimentation. Randomized events and evolving outcomes ensure no two runs feel the same. This design creates immense replayability for all strategy lovers. Curse Cards also add high-risk, high-reward twists to any run.
