G-Rebels Combines Halo Action with Cyberpunk 2077 Style in Open-World Adventure

Reakktor Studios has unveiled G-Rebels, an ambitious open-world adventure that merges Halo’s intense action with Cyberpunk 2077’s dystopian futurism. Published by Senatis, this “action-packed flight sim” drops players into a flooded Earth in 2684 where they pilot advanced gliders through a massive 12,000 square kilometer world. As elite unit members, players initially maintain law and order until a secret mission forces them to question everything about their allegiance and purpose in this conspiracy-laden narrative.

A Vast Dystopian Playground

The game’s setting presents Earth completely transformed by catastrophic flooding, creating a unique landscape for exploration. Players discover vibrant metropolises, research facilities, and industrial outposts while navigating in their ultra-modern gliders. The massive open world encourages free exploration, allowing players to pursue bounty hunting, racing, mercenary work, and other professions to earn currency for aircraft upgrades and enhancements.
G-Rebels features dynamic weather systems and day-night cycles that enhance both visual immersion and gameplay variety. Enemy encounters require strategic thinking, as players can either engage in direct combat or use hacking skills to sabotage opponents from within. The game’s progression system focuses heavily on customizing and upgrading your glider with improved weapons, shields, and specialized equipment to handle increasingly dangerous missions and enemies.

Platforms and Release Window

Currently, G-Rebels is scheduled exclusively for PC via Steam, targeting a 2025 release. While no specific date has been confirmed, the developers indicate news should arrive soon given the impending year. The potential for console ports remains possible pending the game’s PC success. Interested players can wishlist the title on Steam to support development and stay updated on release information for this promising sci-fi adventure.
