Gilgit-Baltistan Education Boost as Minister Signs Scholarship MoU

Gilgit-Baltistan education boost came this week after Provincial Education Minister Ghulam Shehzad Agha visited Green Age College. He signed an MoU with the college to support children of teachers. The agreement includes 50% scholarships for 20 students in BS Nursing and other medical fields.
This partnership gives many families access to quality education. In addition, it encourages students to pursue careers in healthcare, which remains a growing need in the region. As a result, the initiative supports both academic growth and community wellbeing.
Minister Agha appreciated the college’s role in shaping future professionals. He toured the campus during his visit and reviewed its laboratories and training facilities. According to him, the equipment meets high standards and offers students hands-on learning. Moreover, he noted that such efforts will help improve education across Gilgit-Baltistan.

Strengthening Collaboration for Quality Learning

The leadership at Green Age College also welcomed this development. Director Engineer Imtiaz Ahmed thanked the minister for supporting the institution. He said the MoU marks a milestone for the college and the Education Department. Furthermore, he shared that continued cooperation will create new opportunities for students in the coming years.
Both sides agreed that strong partnerships can transform academic standards. For example, improved facilities often motivate students and enhance learning outcomes. Therefore, the new scholarship plan represents an important step toward accessible and inclusive education.
Community members also expressed hope that the program will expand in the future. Many believe that supporting teachers’ families encourages loyalty and boosts morale within the education sector. In addition, scholarships help reduce financial stress for parents.
Overall, this initiative highlights a shared commitment to student success. It also reflects a vision of strengthening the education system through collaboration and innovation.
