IHC Gives Police Three Days to Recover Abducted NCCIA Deputy Director

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has given Islamabad police three days to recover the abducted deputy director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). The official, Muhammad Usman, reportedly went missing earlier this month. His wife filed a petition after his sudden disappearance, urging the court to take action in the IHC ultimatum NCCIA case.

Court Issues Strict Orders

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan led the hearing on Monday. He directed police to present the missing officer or appear in court if they fail. The court questioned how a car with fake number plates moved freely in Islamabad despite strict surveillance.
In addition, Justice Khan demanded details of all call records and security footage. He warned that negligence in the investigation would not be tolerated. Therefore, the police must act quickly and transparently.

Family’s Plea and Growing Concerns

The victim’s wife told the court her husband was abducted by armed men on October 14. The kidnappers used a white Corolla and took him near his home. An FIR was registered the same day at Shams Colony Police Station.
However, concerns grew after authorities couldn’t contact the petitioner later. Officials fear she might also be at risk. As a result, the court ordered immediate recovery efforts.
This shocking case has raised serious questions about law enforcement and safety in the capital. Citizens now look to the IHC for justice and swift accountability.
