Ishaq Dar, Egyptian FM Discuss Gaza Crisis and Regional Peace Efforts

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke by phone with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty on Saturday. They discussed the evolving situation in the Middle East, focusing on developments in Gaza and Palestine. Both leaders reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to regional peace and humanitarian cooperation.

Leaders Review Regional Peace and Stability

According to a statement from the Foreign Office Spokesperson, the two ministers shared views on ongoing regional developments. They examined diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region.
Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan’s consistent stance on protecting the rights of the Palestinian people. He also appreciated Egypt’s role in promoting dialogue and easing tensions. Both sides agreed to continue close consultations to strengthen coordination on humanitarian initiatives.

Coordination Ahead of Sharm el-Sheikh Summit

The two leaders also discussed preparations for the upcoming Summit scheduled in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday. They stressed the importance of collective diplomatic action to reduce regional tensions and support a ceasefire.
Ishaq Dar expressed Pakistan’s support for Egypt’s peace efforts and emphasized regional unity in addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The ministers pledged to work together to advance peace, stability, and justice for the Palestinian people.
