Islamabad Students Win Silver at Global Youth Tech Championship
An Islamabad Youth AI team has earned second place at WAICY 2025. The global event attracted over 132,000 participants. Competitors joined from 103 countries worldwide.

The winning group represented Roots IVY Gandhara H-8 Campus. Despite their young age, the students delivered an outstanding performance. As a result, Pakistan gained global recognition.
The team included Farahaad Ehtesham, Ibrahim Yasir, and Musab Khan. All three study in IGCSE-I. Their leadership and teamwork impressed international judges.
Innovation That Supports Learning
The students presented a project called “Ivy Mentor.” It works as a personalised academic and coding assistant. For example, it helps learners understand subjects and practice programming skills. Judges praised the idea for its creativity and ease of use. In addition, they valued its focus on real educational needs. Therefore, the project stood out among thousands of entries. The competition welcomed participants from universities and research centers. Advanced secondary schools also joined the challenge. However, this young group performed at a remarkably high level.
