IT Export Growth Pakistan Boosts Services to $6.46bn in FY26

The IT export growth Pakistan trend continues to support the country’s economy. Services exports increased by 18.38% in the first eight months of FY26. As a result, total exports reached $6.46 billion, up from $5.46 billion last year.

IT sector drives strong performance

The IT sector led this steady growth in services exports. Telecommunications, computer, and information services remained the main contributors. In addition, these sectors showed consistent performance throughout the fiscal year.
In rupee terms, exports rose to Rs1.818 trillion during July–February FY26. This marks a 19.66% increase compared to Rs1.519 trillion a year earlier. Therefore, the data reflects strong and sustained momentum.
According to official figures, IT-related exports reached $2.97 billion in this period. This shows a 19.75% increase from $2.48 billion last year. As a result, IT services continue to play a key role in export growth.

Monthly trends remain positive

In February alone, services exports stood at $812.25 million. This represents a 16.89% increase compared to the same month last year. However, exports declined by 7.3% compared to January.
Despite this short-term drop, the overall trend remains positive. Services exports have maintained steady growth since February 2024. For example, IT and business services have supported continuous gains.
A brief decline occurred in August 2024, when exports fell by 6.50%. However, the sector recovered quickly in the following months. Consequently, growth continued across most of the fiscal year.
The IT export growth Pakistan trend highlights the importance of digital services. Strong IT performance can boost economic stability and support future expansion.
