Karachi Approves 21 Cattle Markets for Eidul Azha

Karachi has approved 21 cattle markets across the city ahead of Eidul Azha. The administration has distributed these markets across all districts to manage the seasonal demand. It has also assigned multiple authorities to oversee operations. The plan includes four permanent markets and 17 temporary setups. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation will manage six markets. In addition, deputy commissioners and town municipal corporations will supervise the remaining sites.
Officials have selected the Northern Bypass as the main cattle market for the city. They will continue traditional markets in Malir, including Asu Goth and Cattle Colony. These sites will operate alongside newly approved locations. Authorities have directed all departments to ensure strict arrangements. They will focus on cleanliness, traffic control, security, and waste management. As a result, citizens will experience better organization during Eid preparations.

District-Wise Market Plan

In the West district, markets will operate at Taiser Town near Northern Bypass, Aftab Ground in Orangi Town, and 2 1⁄2 Number Ground in UC-9 Orangi Town. In Korangi, authorities have approved sites at Bagh-i-Korangi Road, Madina Colony, an area near Attock Petrol Pump, and Eidgah Ground in Korangi No. 5.
In Malir, markets will function at Aasoo Goth, Cattle Colony, and Memon Dairy Farming Society near Deh Konhar.
In the Central district, locations include Sector 11-D North Karachi, Nazimabad No. 2, and New Karachi Sector 11-I. In the East, five sites will operate, including Gulistan-i-Jauhar blocks, Sohrab Goth, Safari Park, and Safoora Chowrangi areas. In Keamari, markets will run at Yousuf Goth and Maweshi Mandi Keamari. In addition, District South will host a market near Kala Pul.
Overall, the city aims to manage cattle trading in an organized way. These measures will help ensure safety, smooth traffic flow, and cleanliness during Eidul Azha preparations.
