Karachi Basketball Camp Inspires Young Players
The Karachi Basketball Camp continues to inspire young athletes across the city. The Karachi Basketball Association organizes the free coaching program with support from the Sindh Basketball Association. The camp currently trains 98 players. It includes 48 girls and 50 boys between eight and 21 years old. Training takes place from Monday to Friday. The coaching program will continue until July 27. After the training ends, selected players will join a special tournament. The event will run from July 29 to July 31. Organizers will form six girls’ and boys’ teams for the competition. Therefore, participants can test their new skills in competitive matches.
Free Training Builds Future Talent
The organizers charge no participation fee. This approach encourages more families to support youth sports. In addition, it helps talented players develop without financial pressure. Dr. Jaleel praised the players for their discipline and commitment. He expressed confidence that Karachi would continue producing outstanding national athletes. Furthermore, he encouraged students to balance sports with education and respect their families.
Earlier, Ghulam Muhammad offered prayers for veteran journalist Qamar Ahmed. He also announced plans to celebrate Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s 73rd birthday on June 29. Meanwhile, the coaching camp remains focused on developing skilled, confident, and disciplined basketball players for the future.
