Kyrgyzstan to Launch Digital Tourism Platform to Simplify Travel

Kyrgyzstan is launching a new digital tool for travelers. The country is preparing a unified Digital Tourism Platform. This platform aims to simplify travel procedures and attract more foreign visitors.
A recent government meeting highlighted the need for this change. The Chairman noted long-standing challenges like fragmented services. These include complex processes for visas, logistics, and insurance.

A “Single-Window” Solution for Tourists

The platform’s goal is to create a “single-window” system. It will integrate government services and private-sector offerings. Consequently, tourists won’t face bureaucracy and language barriers at every stage.
The platform will manage services from entry to exit. It will also include integrated payment instruments. Therefore, it promises a much smoother travel experience from start to finish.

Focus on Quality and Strategic Growth

This initiative is part of a broader strategy. The government is shifting its focus from just increasing tourist numbers. Instead, it aims to improve overall infrastructure and service standards.
Key projects support this goal. They include building an Olympic village on Lake Issyk-Kul. Other plans are developing ski resorts and digitizing popular tourist routes.
Tourism is a major economic driver for Kyrgyzstan. In 2025, it contributed 4.3% to the national GDP. Revenue from foreign tourists is already significant, exceeding $813 million in just nine months.
The new digital platform is a forward-thinking step. By reducing hassle for visitors, Kyrgyzstan positions itself as a more attractive and modern destination. This move aims to ensure the country’s tourism sector continues to grow sustainably.
