Marvel Rivals Season 6 Battle Pass Ditches Key Rule
Marvel Rivals just launched its newest season with a major change. The Marvel Rivals Season 6 battle pass, called “Museum Ticket,” gives Vanguard players only one new skin. This move breaks the game’s tradition of offering at least two skins for each role every season. Instead, Duelists get seven skins, and Strategists receive the usual two. Consequently, tank mains immediately noticed the shift.
Battle Pass Skips Vanguard Tradition
Every previous season balanced skin rewards across all three roles. Now, Vanguards get just one outfit: a Space Corsair skin for Venom. Players can unlock this skin early if they buy the premium battle pass edition. This imbalance frustrates many players who main tank characters.
However, the seasonal roadmap promises more Vanguard skins in the game’s store soon. Characters like Thor, Groot, and Magneto will get new premium cosmetics over the next few weeks. Therefore, players can still get new looks, but they must pay extra.
Store Purchases Fill the Cosmetic Gap
These additional skins, including Thor’s “Disco Revolution” outfit, will cost real money or saved premium currency. This strategy moves desirable cosmetics from the earnable battle pass to the direct-purchase store. Meanwhile, players grinding the free pass tracks can still earn ten other skins.
Ultimately, Season 6 changes how NetEase distributes content. It encourages direct purchases while offering fewer rewards for Vanguard players who only buy the battle pass.
