Meta Simplifies Facebook Page Setup for Creators and Businesses

Meta Simplifies Facebook Page Setup for Creators and Businesses

Meta is making it easier to create Facebook Pages. The company has redesigned the Facebook Page creation process with a clear choice between a business page and a professional account.
Previously, users could only create company pages through a separate workflow. Creators had their own process, which often caused confusion. However, the new setup brings both under one streamlined system.

Clearer Choices, Fewer Confusions

According to app researcher Radu Oncescu, the update helps users choose the right page type faster. Still, some gray areas remain.
For example, if you’re an author, should you choose “creator” or “company”? What about artists or influencers who sell products? These questions highlight how flexible—but sometimes unclear—Meta’s definitions can be.
Even so, the new design should help creators and businesses pick the right category. As a result, users will get access to better tools that match their goals.

Why Categorization Matters

Meta wants clearer separation between businesses and creators. Last year, it even removed public followers from personal profiles to improve classification.
Having the correct page type affects visibility, tools, and even how Meta promotes your content. The platform continues to prioritize creators, offering them more ways to grow without heavy ad spending.
However, brands might notice that creator profiles perform better in some cases. Businesses with team members who act as creators could explore that path.
Overall, this change aims to make Facebook easier to navigate. It’s another step in Meta’s ongoing effort to simplify, clarify, and support diverse users on the platform.
