New Project Teased After Indiana Jones and Wolfenstein Success

MachineGames has ignited fan excitement once again by teasing its next big project. The reveal came in a celebratory 15th-anniversary poster featuring five of its iconic titles, with a mysterious sixth slot marked only by a question mark. The studio, known for its mastery of cinematic storytelling and fast-paced action, seems to be hinting at what’s next after the success of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Fans quickly began speculating that a new Wolfenstein game might be on the horizon.

Celebrating 15 Years of Innovation

Founded in 2009 by a group of ex–Starbreeze Studios developers, MachineGames quickly established itself as a leader in narrative-driven first-person shooters. After joining ZeniMax Media in 2010, the studio redefined the Wolfenstein franchise, delivering critically acclaimed hits such as The New Order, The Old Blood, and The New Colossus. Their most recent release, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, debuted in December 2024 for Xbox and PC before expanding to PlayStation 5 in early 2025. The game’s cinematic action and detailed worldbuilding earned widespread praise. Now, the new anniversary artwork, paired with comments from studio artist Pontus Wåhlin about “upcoming projects,” strongly suggests multiple games are in development.

Is Wolfenstein 3 Finally Coming?

Creative Director Jerk Gustafsson previously confirmed that the team envisioned Wolfenstein as a trilogy. He also stated that the series was “not done yet.” That statement, along with the recent live-action Wolfenstein series announced by Amazon MGM Studios, makes a sequel feel inevitable. Fans suspect ZeniMax may synchronize the game’s release with the show, creating cross-media momentum similar to Fallout’s resurgence. Whether it’s Wolfenstein 3 or a brand-new IP, MachineGames continues to embody precision, creativity, and storytelling excellence. After fifteen years of groundbreaking work, the studio’s next announcement could define its next era in modern gaming.
