Overwatch 2 Hello Kitty Crossover Launches February 10
Blizzard announces a surprising new cosmetic collaboration with the iconic Sanrio brand. The Overwatch 2 Hello Kitty skins will be available from February 10 through February 23 for a limited time. This crossover introduces six new skins, transforming heroes like Juno, Kiriko, and D.Va with Hello Kitty and friends themes. Consequently, players have only 13 days to obtain these unique cosmetics.
Six Heroes Receive Adorable Sanrio Makeovers
The skins include Juno as Hello Kitty, Kiriko as Cinnamoroll, and Widowmaker as the mischievous Kuromi. The selection primarily features heroes from the heroic Overwatch
organization, with only one Talon agent receiving a skin. Furthermore, half of the skins are for supporting heroes, emphasizing the collaboration’s lighthearted and friendly spirit.
Blizzard’s art director explained that the character Juno embodies Hello Kitty’s silent, heart-speaking nature. These skins represent a mutual collaboration between the two companies, designed to fit seamlessly into the game’s vibrant world.
A Classic Limited-Time Collaboration Event
Like previous major crossovers, such as Transformers, these skins will likely be available for a very limited window. While some collaborations have seen re-releases, they often return with reduced accompanying rewards. Therefore, players who want guaranteed access should plan to acquire them during the initial event period.
This event adds a burst of whimsy to the tactical shooter. Fans of Overwatch 2 and Sanrio should mark their calendars to collect these charming skins before they potentially vanish.
