Oxford AQA has broadened its international offerings with the launch of seven new qualifications, further strengthening its mission to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for university, professional careers, and life beyond the classroom. The expansion includes five International GCSEs in History, Chinese – First Language, Arabic – First Language, Sociology, and Global Skills Projects. Additionally, two International A-levels have been introduced in Chinese – First Language and Sociology. Each of these qualifications has been designed to foster critical thinking, subject mastery, and adaptability for an increasingly dynamic world. One of the standout additions is the Global Skills Project GCSE, which emphasizes project-based learning and sustainability. This qualification enables learners to develop essential competencies such as problem-solving, teamwork, and an awareness of global challenges.OxfordAQA’s Sociology qualifications take a practical approach by using local case studies and familiar examples, helping students link sociological theory to everyday life. Both GCSE and A-level options encourage critical analysis and the application of sociological knowledge. All International A-levels offered by OxfordAQA, including the new ones, follow a modular system. This structure provides flexibility, allowing students to re-sit individual units and prepare strategically for exams.Andrew Coombe, Managing Director for OxfordAQA, stated: “We want to empower students to think independently, apply their learning, and collaborate effectively. This not only sets them up for success in their exams but also equips them with the skills that universities want to see, ensuring that students are ready for their futures.”A joint initiative between Oxford University Press and AQA, the UK’s largest GCSE and A-level provider, OxfordAQA continues to grow as the fastest-rising international exam board. Its learner-focused approach emphasizes clarity, inclusivity, and global recognition, giving students worldwide the best opportunity to succeed.
