Pakistan Iran Ceasefire Extension Supports Peace Talks in Islamabad

Pakistan welcomed the Pakistan Iran Ceasefire extension and called it a step toward peace. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked US President Donald Trump for approving the move. He said the extension will support ongoing talks in Islamabad.
Sharif also shared hope for a lasting agreement. He said Pakistan will continue to promote dialogue and cooperation. As a result, leaders expect progress in the next round of talks.

Pakistan Leads Diplomatic Efforts

Pakistan helped broker the initial ceasefire earlier this month. Therefore, it continues to engage both sides for peace. Sharif said Pakistan values the trust placed in its role.
In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar urged both sides to stay committed. He stressed that dialogue remains the best path forward. US officials also praised Pakistan’s efforts to ease tensions.
