Pakistan Quad Framework Talks Gain Momentum with Regional Partners

Pakistan is advancing a new Pakistan quad framework with Turkiye, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. The four countries want closer coordination on diplomacy and security. As a result, they aim to respond quickly to regional challenges.
Officials have not labeled it a formal alliance. However, frequent meetings show clear progress. In addition, leaders see this initiative as a practical step toward stability.

Growing Coordination Efforts

Senior officials from the four countries met in Islamabad this week. They reviewed earlier discussions between foreign ministers. Therefore, the talks continue to gain momentum.
Pakistan’s delegation was led by Ambassador Tahir Andrabi. Meanwhile, Turkiye, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia also sent senior diplomats. The meeting focused on finalising proposals for the next stage.
The group will meet again in Antalya on April 17. This session will take place during a major diplomacy forum. As a result, officials expect further progress on the framework.

Focus on Stability and Strategy

Rising tensions in the Middle East have increased urgency. For example, recent Iran-US developments have raised serious concerns. Therefore, the four countries want better coordination.
The group first met in Riyadh on March 19. Soon after, they held another round of talks in Islamabad. This quick pace shows strong commitment.
Discussions now focus on conflict reduction, economic cooperation, and political alignment. In addition, officials want to move beyond informal talks.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar highlighted the importance of unity. He said stronger ties can support peace and economic growth. However, experts warn that each country must balance its own priorities.
In conclusion, the Pakistan quad framework reflects a practical and timely regional approach.
